Default New DF300 Installed!!!

Just kidding! I am seriously condidering buying one as I have an offer on my motors, which was more than I paid for them. I have a 74 Tsunami with a hardtop and load the boat heavy most of the time. My twins are fantastic, with no issues but just not as fuel efficent as they need to be. I need more range for tournaments and the motors have a bunch of hours on them. A good offer on the table combined with dropping prices has me thinking new motors.

The DF140's won't stack up to my 2-stroke 150's in the balls department. A close second would be the DF150's which are a bit too heavy. I'd go Etec but the prices are rediculus in my area in addition to little to no dealer support. Yamaha's 4-stroke doesn't seem to stack up to the suzuki in a few categories which includes price.

Now....That leaves me with the new Yamaha 350 and the Suzuki 300. (won't ever consider mercury again...ever real sore and expensive subject)The yamaha doesn't seem to stack up to the DF300 Power to weight wise even though I am a Yamaha fan. This is according to all I can get my hands on.

My mind is not made up as of yet. I'm wondering if anyone out there has the DF300 on a seacraft or comparable boat? I've seen the suzuki website boat tests which seem positive but they are on the manufactures website. Looking for real numbers here.

I'd appreciate any information available. Or a hot lead on a set of low hour HPDI 150 or 200's!

Thanks, Jason
