The 19P 4 blade Cleaver II gave me a top end of 55 mph at 6100 rpms, but planed in a very long 8-10 seconds.

Fr. Frank,
Were you running the Cleaver surfacing or submerged? I've read that cleavers should be run about half out of the water, otherwise the thick trailing edge makes them very inefficient. But running them high screws the acceleration because they can't bite as well. So, is that why you got higher RPMs, higher top end, but poor acceleration?
I've got a 21 Cleaver laying around. After reading your post, I thought I might try it on my 20SF/200Merc just to see what it does.
Thanks,
Dave
