Default Re: which sceptre to buy ?

I don't think loading and unloading will be a problem, other than that is a heavy boat. I loaded/unloaded one on Sat without any problem, but it had a 350 merc, not a diesel. You just have to make sure you have enough weight over the back wheels of the tow vehicle, especially if the ramp is wet or has algae on it. As for the trailer, just make sure the bunks are tall enough that it clears the running gear.
As far as speed, probably cruise at 25-27, top end in the low/mid 30's. It depends on fuel load, how big of a top you have, and how much weight your carrying around. The inboard boats I have been on seem to be really stern heavy, and under 25 mph, you need tabs to keep the back end up. Also, plan on putting a pair of rabud or equiv ball scuppers, or your gonna have wet feet.
