The 27' was first promoted in early 1967 (March), so yours could have been built anywhere from 67-69(probably late 68 or 69), registered in 69. The numbers continued from one year to the next...they did not start over each year. Sorry, I don't know what the starting number for the 27's.

"Did every model start at number 0 or 1?" No... the 21's started either at 1 or 50 (we have 71) and I believe the bowriders (next model produced) started at 300 and the highest number of a bowrider I've found, is a 1969 #629. The starting numbering scheme obviously changed for the 27's.

As I learn more, I'll share the information.

I think Island Trader found himself a fabulous boat and can't wait to see progress pictures!
