If you study the 21' hull and the 23' you will notice that the panel config. is different. 2 things i noticed right off were; the steps between the panels are deeper on the 21' and the chine (spray chine) doesn't exist on the 21' in the very front of the 21', while on the 23' it wraps around the bow to the bow ring. There is a quote somewhere I read, from Mr. Moesly talking about the chine/rail causing the hulls re-entry into the water to slap or pound. I also noticed that the center panels/keel on the 21' seem more agressive than the 23'. I bet there are many more performance enhancing-technical nuances of this 21' hull we may not be aware of. IMO I don't think "they" just extended the mold 2 feet, there appear to be other changes to the mold.
