I also took some more pics. The water jacket shows no signs of leaking or corrossion. This motor is very clean inside. I know he went through several spark plug configurations and finally hit on it with the current set of flat-faced NGK's. I've never seen such a clean set of plugs in a 2-stroke. They were the appropriate tan, and obviously there was a tiny drop of oil, but there was none of that nasty charred oil gunk on them.

Here you see the two step/seat/compartments on either side of the splashwell. He has (intact) cushions for each of these.










For those of you that aren't familiar with ventilated props, you'll see that there are holes in the hub at the leading edge. At a standstill, the exhaust blows out these holes and allows the prop to spin up faster. This is a high pitch (20"+... didn't remember to check) prop that makes this boat really scream... like I said, this thing does 40mph no sweat.
