Default Re: Teak

Tired and happy,

Only 1 real DOHH. Got sleepy late in the day and made a whoop dee do on the back of the splashwell w/ the belt sander. Otherwise got all the heat, scrape , rough sand, and straightening done. At 100 now. Thx for the Elmers tip Joey. Powder and Elmers feels really funny on the fingers! I made it thick. So far I`ve been goin low n slow. Got the 105/207. Got the Epifanes. Lots of hand sanding. I don`t have a triangle scraper and was wondering if you know a way to get the very bottom of a 90? Folded paper is close... From my little humble perch, I seem to see many failures come from unsealed edges, screw holes etc.
1. On flush mounted pieces do you coat all 4 sides with care B 4 mounting?

2. Best way to seal screw holes? epoxy ok?

3. Took the plexi frame apart for a new glue n screw after prep. Awaiting instructions for mitered end grain please!
Dirty old seep now. Sand ,glue n screw w/ Titebond or is there a better way?

I`m really happy with my progress so far.
Thx All,
GFS
