Did you get the hull and deck from Mertons?I assume you did,and he also has all the Cabosil, and Micro balloons,along with milled fiber,wood flour and other stuff,for gluing applications.

He has Cabosil in 1/4lb,1/2lb,2lb(five gallons),and 10lb(bags), and same in micro balloons.
I used a slightly thinned hull and deck putty to glue the plywood core to my transom.

I didn't have to replace the deck,but i made a very nice adhesive for similar use with some resin thickened with Cabosil,and milled fiber.
Sometimes you can spend more to make up an adhesive putty than it cost to buy it already made.
