Hey et, With a little help from my friends here at CSC, I found mine was situated on the lower port side gunwale just in front of the rod storage adjacent to the bulkhead on a little black printed foil plate about 3.5"x2.5". Mine is a '72. Good luck. Go for it. Save the Seafaris! Get some pics and put them up review! I can't get enough of these boats - McGill
