If I were you I'd lean toward a 2.4L or 2.5L merc v6 . . . I think it's a better combo for the 18.

Cool project. You don't see many OMC buildups. Wonder what I could get out of my 150? As light as it is, there might not be to much room for machine work. I have heard that those Boysen dual stage reeds boost bottom end and fuel economy. They worked well on a Suzuki quadracer I had.
