Default Re: 2 Part foam?

Check out the brochures in the literature section. For years SeaCraft bragged about not foaming in their tanks and said it required them to ventilate the bilge which added cost, but they did it anyway because it made the tanks last longer. The rubber strips on the bottom were also not B/M. May be the original tank, but someone must have pulled it and added the foam and rubber strips. My boat was also a 1-owner boat; I pulled the tank in 1975 when I bought the 1972 boat. Thank goodness I did because, although there was no foam or rubber strips under it, there WAS a brass nut laying underneath it that had formed a galvanic couple with the aluminum tank and it had started to corrode in that spot. Fortunately I caught it before it got too bad and coated with epoxy primer & paint. Pulled it 2 years ago to inspect and replace hoses during repower; it's still in good shape some 30 years later!
