Default Re: Garmin 7 pin to Furuno 10 pin

Got a tasty Mutton Schnappah yesterday. Found by my new to me Furuno!!! It`s a 1610 combo plotter / 50/ 200 sounder. Uses the old style credit card size map cards. Probably 10 yrs old.
The folks at Furuno said it uses the SAME sounder as their new 1850. Many thanks to Irene at Airmar. She pulled up the Garmin and Runo schematics and sent me on my merry way. Runo pigtail has 2 bare shield wires and Garmin 1. Share the bare and go color to color. There`s a reason all the Comm. folks go Furuno. The 240 blue was an entry level d/f and wouldn`t read at speed. The Runo not only reads at speed, the bottom detail is AMAZING! I already have 3 new spots!

Got the Runo for 150 clams on C.L.. Rick at Runo told me those old cards are 275 clams IF you can find them. I have So Fl. and Bahamas , C.C. and the Islands and 3 others that are too worn to read. When I figure out what they are, someone here might need 1 for member pricing. I`m fond of peanut M&M`s.
