Re: trim tabs for 23'
I just put a set of Bennett 12x12 tabs, with 3" drop fins on my 23'Tsunami.
I spoke to the folks at Bennett, and this is what they recommended,According to them, the 3"drop fin on the sides of each tab, increase lift substantially.
They actually said that they would like to see longer tabs, but because of the variable deadrise hull,it's not possible;however, they said you can put two sets on the rear.I don't think it's necessary though,
I can say, that i run 9x12's on my other boat, (22'Trophy),and wish i went larger. The 9x12's work great, but i think bigger is definitely better than smaller.
BTW,my Tsunami is I/O powered, which is more weight than outboards,so maybe a smaller tab would be fine if you're running an outboard.
Give Bennett a call, they are awesome people to deal with, every company should have customer service like they do.
