Default Re: 1988 Yamaha 175 - Bogging down after running

I used an external tank with fresh gas and the same problem exists. When first started it will run nicely and will move out good, can reach up to 5400 rpm. After running for a minute or so, and after the engine warms up, it starts to bog down. Feels like not all cylinders are firing. It gets progressively worse as I run. At that point it can't get above 3900 - 4000 rpm. A new development last time I was out, it seems I can get a whiff of what smells like melting electrical wire coming from under the cowling.

Anyone know of a good Yamaha Mechanic down near or on the Cape?
