Default Re: Intersting 27 in Florida

Bri, it was a re-power. Originally she had twin Mercruiser 470 I/O'; gasoline 3.7 litre engines with 180 hp each. I repowered in 2003 with twin Cummins-Mercruiser 1.7 DTI diesels. The top speed, about 31 knots stayed the same while the cruise went up from 18 knots to 21 knots. The real big plus was the efficiency, which doubled. At 21 knots I burned about 6.5 GPH.

I sold the boat this past march to a gentleman in Virginia. Last I spoke with him he was enjoying it. I kinda regret selling used the money to purchase a 26 Fortier, which I also sold because I got an offer I coulden't refuse. That leaves me with my little beast of a 20 footer 78 Master Angler. Over the winter I'll pick up another large boat...probably another Fortier. Enough history, here's a pic of the Grady and her engines.

Getting back to that 27 Sea Craft, I bet she runs real well and economically which is very important in todays day in age. I bet the Sea Craft gets almost 3 NMPG and a low 20 knot cruise.
