Default Re: Replacing Fuel Line 1975 20' CC

I had my guy remove the access hatch. It entailed completely removing the Console to open the tank coffin. He said its the heaviest Console he ever saw ( I'll take that as "Well Built" !) Upon inspection the Filler hose was pinched between and unused mounting ear and the edge of the coffin. So Im replacing the 1/1/2" helical fill hose as well as the 5/16 fuel line. He was amazed at the great condition of the tank and mentioned his 21 foot Mako had a foamed in tank and water has eaten up the tank and it was a nightmare. My 90 Johnson is mounted and running great ( after tearing carbs down due to Hurricane IKE induced mud. The Motor did get submerged after all. But we have been running it full of Sea Foam and fogged the cylinders. All looks good there. I have a replacement binnacle control box coming today and hopefully by this weekend it will be done. Also removed ALL old wiring and am running 2 hot and 2 ground wires from Battery to a fuse panel for my accessories. I will post pics when it is done. I want to get in on the Fall flounder run now in full swing. Its only money right?
