If it's a 20, try to minimize motor weight and bracket setback. About the only 4-stroke I'd consider for a 20 is the 140 Zuke. All the others are ~500 lbs wet weight (cowling plus fluids), which IMHO is too much for a hull designed for a 300 lb motor. The Merc Optimax and E-Tec are also competitive on fuel consumption, have more mid-range torque, and the E-Tec is QUIETER than 4-strokes at 30 mph cruise because it doesn't have to be wound up so much.
