Re: Replacing Fuel Line 1975 20' CC
While you are at it I recommend replacing the fuel line also. I used goodyear SAEJ30R9 I think Item # is C-U-06-011
It is actually a fuel injection Hose, It has a dupont inner liner that is impervious to all of the fuels Diesel, Bio fuels, ethanol, alchohol and other blends. I am seeing alot of fuel line deterioration causing all kinds of problems. the fuel blends have solvents that are eating virtually everything. It is rediculously expensive, about 4 times more than regular fuel line. However that is a small price to pay when you consider a trip to the mechanic.
Before I was seeing a black powder in my filter, it was the previus fuel line deteriorating, immagine if that made it to the combustion chamber, the rings would have been toast. I didn't know I had a problen until I started getting fuel alarms.
