They will absolutley help keep spray down.Now,having said that,remember we are talking about little boats and they are going to be wet when it gets a bit snotty,especially a SeaCraft.But you will stay drier with them than without them.As far as pounding,they ain't going to help.
I beleive the only way to stop a 20 foot boat from pounding is pull her back a few hundred.
