Bushwacker,
I think I need your expertise on re-wheeling my boat. As you may know I have the 20 Master Angler and I'm powered by the 150 ETEC (which you helped sell me on). The motor is flawless and so is performance but from what I'm seeing I should go faster. Right now I hit 40 mpg (about 37 knots) wide open throttle and turning 5000 RPMS. My ETEC dealer told me thats the lower end of the WOT range but its OK.
Seems like everyone I talk to who has the 150 on their 20 hits mid 40 mph.
I don't have a T-Top on the boat, but when I rebuilt her I rebuilt her a bit "heavier" then she was. The transom for instance is almost 3 inches thick, the deck is 3/4 AC Douglas Fir with 2 layers of 1808 on it, but I doubt that inhibited my performance that much.
Other then that, cruise at 3300 RPM is about 22 knots which yields almost 4NMPG.

So its VERY economical.
