I don't think it will hurt you much unless you break down and are drifting in really bad conditions. That's where the high gunwale is really nice for safety on that boat. It'll keep you in if you tumble. The 24 deg deadrise on that hull is a rocker on the drift.

A lot of these guys have raised their decks 3 to 4 inches but usually they did it to improve the self draining capabilities. Maybe some of them will chime in. Maybe re-posting with more emphasis on stability and safety effects raising the floor rather than non SeaCraft question Good luck.
