Whatever you do make sure you account for the curvature of the transom. Also you may consider using one intended for twin motors and have them drill out for one motor. That will give you extra flotation. Also make sure you mount it accordingly if you have a 25" or 30" shaft. 2-3 guys should be able to dry fit and mount it in about 1/2 day.
