Here's where this ended up. $200+, about 4 hours install to add a second, independent bilge pump. Rule 2000 dedicated discharge and runs off 2nd battery. At 8+ amps you wouldnt want this running off the battery alone for very long. I see this basically as a back-up/redundant/emergency set-up that hopefully is never needed.

The aft pump is the existing Rule 1500, runs off the other battery. I put the float on a wedge wood block glassed and painted, sits about 2" higher than the other float. The two will give a theoretical pumping capacity of 3500 gph, actual probably closer to 2500. We will do the old bucket test later after the batteries are in.



The only waterproof panel switch I could find was Blue Seas, which is pricey. Right of the wheel.
