Default Re: batteries

Single Midstate Marine "Group 95R" sealed lead-acid battery. (Next size up from group 31) Purchased as a "blemished" battery for $165 with 7 yr. warranty, including 36 month free replacement

815 cold cranking amps, 205 amp hour rating, projected cycle life of 30-40 cycles, weighs 82 lbs. Battery is kept on 8 watt solar automatic battery maintainer.

I rRecently switched from dual to largest single battery I could fit in original fiberglass battery box. I also carry a capacitor discharge jump start box, which I have learned is enough to start my 90 optimax by itself.
I only need 95 ah and 11.8 volts. 11.5 volts will not start the motor, even though it will spin very fast.
