well the purpose for the outboard conversion is that the old 350 i/o was geting up there on hrs and i got to the point that where it wasnt fuel effiecent enough to make those long trips any more... pics comming real soon.... merc is making a 300hp opti. on there racing website, available with normal warantee to the non-racer, standard shaft lengths... no inboard is going because as soon as i took the engine box out it was great now i can play football bck there with all that space.... maybe fish box in transom or soomething.. no engine box
