... i currently have a 350 i/o with volvo 280 outdrive i belive the package weighs in the neighborhood of 1200 lbs. so 300 suzuki(604 lbs.) and armstrong bracket( approx. 80 lbs.) seems to be alot less than 1200 lbs... i understand center of gravity will change but am i missing something or am i making it sound better than it should...

Cummins/Mercruiser 4.2L ES 320 hp weighs 1015 lbs for the motor, 165lbs for a Bravo One drive, and 65 lbs for the transom group, for a total of 1245 lbs, or just 36 lbs more than what you have now. It won't mess up your CG and potentially have a detrimental effect on your rough-water performance, It will use much less fuel than even a 300 four-stroke Zuke, have a projected engine life of 10 thousand hours or MORE, compared to 2000 for the OB, and cost about $30K installed.
