Thanks. My 23 was an I/O so I removed the cap in one piece after making 2 cuts.
Others I/O owners were kind enough to let me know how to do it (thanks Alan/Bill). I was able to put it back and am glassing the seam. Its still a work in progress but I hope to have it squared away by the weekend.
You can see my little molded lids for my ice boxes came out pretty nice for a rookie.
Also I have been laying down the grit on my new/old hatches.
The boat will be moved outside on Sunday so progress should SLOW. Most of my painting will be done soon. At least all I am prepared to do right now. I want to use the boat this season
