I did my transom before finding Classic SeaCraft.com I used a 2X4 piece of solid ash across the entire transom and two layers of MDO plus glass epoxy. I also backed up the inside the transom with another layer of MDO. The ash is also thru bolted thru everything. It might be heavy but it is strong. Would I do it the same way again-don't know.
