Default Lake Powell Trip

Been a while since I posted any pictures. These pics are from our June 08 trip to Lake Powell. We towed the SeaCraft to Vegas and spent the night at the resort connected to Bass Pro shop, we gambled, shopped, and then the next day we made the rest of the trip to Lake Powell. The wind blew over 50mph our first night. We were parked at the end of a very large canyon which acted like a wind funnel. I had to put the house boats 2 very large anchors on the up wind side of the house boat. It was touch and go for while and you could have played a tune on the 1 inch nylon anchor lines. It only lasted for a couple hours and then the weather was great for the rest of our 5 day trip.

our house boat

There were all kinds of cool canyons to explore... some were very narrow

The boat proved perfect for towing behind the house boat and it worked great for exploring the far away reaches of the lake

Family shot

There were all kinds of big rocks that the boat wanted to pose with..... who was I to say no?

The bimini top works great! the white froth you see in the water in some of the pics is carp sperm... I let everyone swim in it for a while before I told them what it was.

Kicking back
