I found these SS hatch adjusters and I like them better than the original chrome brass ones.

As for the wiring, 12V systems are fairly simple; you can do a search on this site for some good reference books and sources of supplies. I found it helpful to put a big conduit up behind the stbd side coaming with a loop of chord running thru it that I could use to pull all the wires thru. Run the engine harness first as it will be the biggest. I also set up a separate common ground buss in back of boat for stern light, bilge pump & trim tab pump, and then another ground buss behind IP for all the stuff up front.
