Thanks for the input guys... I realize a joker valve usually operates under pressure. But I would think that the boat moving would create enough suction to pull the water out or if you took a sizable amount of water in the cockpit it be enough weight to open the valve enough or you could just yank them out. I realize it might not get rid of the water as quickly as liked but its got to be better than running with the plugs in. You can buy duckbill valves, joker valves in tons of different sizes...

Thank goodness that in the scheme of things you are broke, powerlesss and inconsequential, because with the shortsighted alternatives and idealogy you have you'd be much worse than those you complain about.
