What I have seen said no bottom fishing for anything from 90 feet out to 240 feet. They reason that you "might" catch a grouper or snapper and release mortality is high from 90 feet and deeper. Releasing shallower than that has a greater survival rate. At any rate - to save the grouper and snapper they are just going to shut all of it down from North Carolina to the Florida Keys.
