Ah yes, price is an interesting concept. Here is another side to the story.
I bought my seafari from a gentleman who had a very high regard for his boat, rightly so, it's a great base to build on. It just took him 3 (or was it 4?) years to realize he wasn't going to sell it for what he thought it was worth. In the meantime the real market value of the boat declined by around 60 per cent. I was still willing to give him more than it was worth, just less than a couple of years previous. We compromised, he came down a whole bunch and I paid maybe a quarter more than it was worth at the time, because I really wanted this particular boat. I think we both got a good deal, despite the fact that I could bitch about overpaying and he could bitch about the offered price declining, a lot.
One more, if somebody has the authority to sell the boat and accepts a given price, nobody else has the right to bitch about it after the fact.
