I thought that my 1979 MA was the only one carpeted inside. Figured it didn't add much wait but was an effective method of sound deadening. On mine, there is a grey in color, adhesive or caulk. May have been clear or white, at one time. All that I can offer, unless someone would like an emailed photo or two. Part II.
