Gotta be a bit careful cause WOT is almost 6000 RPM. But at 5600 your doing 32 by the GPS. Midrange power is very very good. I use the 17 P SST beacause I run Jetties and mostly 2-4 seas,and I love the midrange. I also have a 13.5 X 19 P aluminum that WOT 5600 35 MPH. I can jump on plane in 6 seconds with 4 adults 60 lbs ice and all tackle and fuel with the 17
