Default Re: Can I do this with my 23 Tsunami????

Would be a piece of cake for a 23! I ran my Seafari like that for about 30 miles on my first trip back from the Bahamas in 3-4' seas . . . completely airborne on about every 10th wave! Of course I was 34 years younger and dumber back then! Carl Moesly raced the original SeaCraft 21 for 500 miles at WOT in MANY races in conditions MUCH WORSE than that! If you think that video is wild, you should see some of the films of the offshore powerboat races from the 60's! Those guys were nuts, mostly in their 20's at the time. (Moesly was in his 40's and not particularly well liked by some of the young guys in the big 1000 hp inboards that he often beat with his twin 110 I-6 Merc's, but they definitely respected him and his boats!) BTW, that Formula is little stern heavy, as indicated by the stern sinking faster than the bow when he went airborne. Moesly used a ballast tank in the bow of his race boat to eliminate that problem! (check out his ballast tank patent on Carla's web site, www.moeslyseacraft.com!)
