Fred,
Don't post here much but I have had tremendous luck with teh 470 engine. Mine has well over 600 hours a nothing major as of yet, other than the camshaft seals which are one of the main problems but easlily repaired.

Check out breezeworks.net which is a board just dedicated to the 470 engine, a great deal of good info there. The 165 HP was one of the later models.
