here what is on mine, I think its a hawsepipe - its like the ones in the stern to put the dock lines down thru to the cleats. Somebody put one in the bow for the rope - Susan figured out the shank of the anchor goes right down there and the flukes lay nicely on the deck - it never bounces or anything been up there 3 yrs - Even Carl was amused when he saw it. I have never seen it either and it was her idea but sure works better than anchor chocks
