When you slide the cabin forward will you actually be cutting it at the top edge of cabin so it so the roof lays over the sides of the cabin as it moves forward? And then trim overlay flush to the cabin sides and re-glass?

Yes..The top cap with the gunnels will stay and just the cabin part will move.
Scott.. No Finny still has his, I think his Mom is going to plant flowers in it this Spring. I've had mine for about 7 months, it is a 78 I/O version. It was on this site in the For Sale page, as it was on e-bay (
http://www.classicseacraft.com/forum...b=5&o=&fpart=1 ). I put one of the guys from Silverhawk onto it as a parts rig. To maybe plug the top cap and bring the Vette back to life as a Silverhawk with twin 502's. Well they never did anything with it so I worked a "deal" with them and its now mine. I've done the transom and added the SilverHawk full bracket for twin 175's or 200's. Next is the cabin move and then the floor redo. I'm working the barter system for all of the work I can't do, I have a painter that needs a top for his boat. I'll get some pics up soon.
Ken... go play with your Seamaster
