Some questions for anyone to answer..greatly appreciated
1. Will this Pettit Easypoxy buff out... if needed for imperfections.
If so what grit for wetsanding and type of compound, also what type of buffing bonnett (sponge/wool?)
Also...
2. Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced brand of bottom paint to use for a trailered boat.Wont be in water for extended periods of time... Vivid is out of my budget. I will be using black.

Fred,
1. Send an e-mail to Pettit and ask them!
2. Since it was soda blasted, I would seriously consider putting some Interprotect on that bottom before you paint it. It sands really easy but cures very hard, and will help smooth out the bottom, even if you don't do all the filling and fairing like I did. A 1 gallon kit (currently on sale at West) would probably give you a couple of coats; not enough for full blister protection, but good enough for a trailer boat. Then you could just put some Easypoxy over it (maybe with a contrasting stripe on side of steps!

), which I think would hold up under water, although the sun will eventually cause it to fade. However if you paint the bottom white, you might not notice the fading. Denny
