I have the same stuff. All I did was pinch the inner tabs together with one hand while following with the butt end of a screwdriver behind. It went in without much trouble at all. A couple of places needed the tip of the flathead to coax the inner tab back into the retainer, but, all in all, not much trouble. Oh yeah, I did it in hot weather so it was softer. Good luck.
