Default Re: 1990's seacraft Vs. 1970's & 1980's SF?

A 1990 SeaCraft is a 20 year old hull. If I was going to buy any boat 20 years old I would consider it on it’s own merits by doing a good survey of that boat. If there is any problems after 20 years there would be signs that would point to those problems by now.

As for the hull design it’s the same as to the materials there have been some changes, some for the better like composite material over wood composites. I could be wrong but I think on the 1990 boats they used composite for the transom and the deck.

As for the Potter hull over the others most guys here are a bit project and so am I.

But that being said, for me, if someone came up to me and said I will trade you this brand new 23 CC Tournament SeaCraft that retails for $107.000 for your boat or a new 32 CC for my boat I think a would be tempted.

Most new boats manufacturers have learned a lot over the last 30-40 years on how to build a good boats.
