There is zero orange peel in the finished product, it looks like factory.
There was light orange peel before sanding. This however was not for any other reason than 1) I suck with the gun and 2) I couldn't see well.
I used the same system on a cowling that was on saw horses and it was good to go...no sanding or buffing required. The difference? 1) I could see the surface much better when it was flat on the horses and 2) Practice!!
Like I said, this is no panacea, but another tool in the tool box.
