bit the bullet for the OFS props - if the wife ever finds out how much they cost - there will be a 23 CC for sale! LOL
...The Powertech guy seemed very knowledgeable - will be able to tweak the numbers maybe with an additional prop/swap...if necessary

I went with Powertech back in '01 when I first put a Merc XR4 on my Seafari. I wasn't happy with anything I tried, and I used to prop boats for a living, so I knew I could do better,
I ended up getting a custom-made PowerTech prop based upon what they then called the Offshore series, 15.25" diameter with 16.5" pitch, with very aggressive rake progression. (blade pitch 1.5" from the hub was only 12") It cost me over $700 at the time. I ended up with greatly improved top-end AND hole shot. I REALLY like PowerTech.
I am again less than thrilled with my overall performance, this time I have a Trophy Plus on my Optimax, and have my eye on a used Powertech SCD4 19", but have not convinced the repair shop to swap for my Trophy Plus 21"P
