Default Re: Boat Insurance Question

Most insurance companies that would be willing to cover a older boat require a current survey on the boat to determine its value with out it no property coverage.
Progressive could probably do it with out a survey but they sometimes are a little on the high side for the coverage. If you just want liability coverage it is dirt cheep. When I first finished my boat I went with full coverage now I just have approx $100. worth of the best locking system you can use and hope that a thief would rather steal a brand new triple engine boat worth $200,000 instead of my Classic SeaCraft worth $20,000 or so.
