got a little more progress done tonight. did i mention it was slow progress? i started to dig out the foam in the cut stringer. i found alot of wet foam in it. now to finish that stringer ive got to cut the floor to get to the top of the aft part of the stringer. going to go in from the top back there. since that one side was wet im considering opening up the other one and digging all that foam out and putting fresh back in and sealing it all up. what do you guys think? i now have another question regarding the floor since i need to cut it out, i have to cut the bottom layer of the inner liner out, would it be a good idea to leave as much of the bottom layer still attached so i can make some fiberglass cleats and put the bottom layer back together? ill get some pics of what im talking about this week if anyone is confused. as always opinions and tips are appreciated.
i saw this little saw in stricks post. this was my arsenal for getting the foam out.
is any of this stuff recycleable?? i have plenty.
this is the front of the stringer. still needs to be vacuumed out.
this is the aft part of the stringer that i need to get out from the top.
