In reading about hook on THT in one of the Formula 233 rebuild threads, some guys were talking about it on those hulls. According to one of them the hook was purposely built into the molds on those boats to retard potential WOT with high HP (hook on both sides of the running bottom). Not sure if this is true nor do I know if it pertains to SCs. I do know the hook on my father's '82 Sceptre 23 (port side only) forces that side of the boat down while running.
