Boat stands are very cheap insurance. You should be able to find some on CL. Then sell them there when done.
I use 4 when I am working in the boat...less wiggle.
When work under on the hull I use two in the rear and a strong car stand so I can minimize the surface area for painting and such...or block it like Stricks picture.
