Re: tsunami window question
I think depending on the glass shop you're looking at a ball park of 250.00 to 400 bucks.
I Had the same problem on my 74 Tsunami.I went to a local glass shop, and had them make both port and starboard side windows out of 3/16 tempered glass.
I also had them make the center windshield door glass as well,as it was lexan and all cloudy and crazed.
I think it was around $375.00 total for the long side ones and the center door one.
**You can't go thicker than 3/16" because the lip that holds the glass is only that thick.
** They cut the glass first, and then sent it out to be tempered.
** I gave the old lexan pieces to the shop so they could use them as patterns to duplicate the exact dimensions.
Once the glass is tempered,it can't be cut,so make sure it's right the first time.
Also Lexan is cheaper, but! from all the people I spoke to in the Lexan business, they said it would end up getting cloudy and off color, and spider cracking in a few years.
They all said that even though it's more expensive to use glass in the beginning,it ends up being cheaper in the long run.It also just looks better,as it clearer and is no distortion, and will last as long as you do unless you break it.
