Yeah. Either way some scuppers or balls are going to be needed if you are going to fish in any kind of sea. I think in the sound and anchored at the beach raising the floor 4 inches would be right above water level with full fuel, 3-4 people, and gear. I am going to move the tank about as far forward as I can. Good thing about the MA is you can get away with raising the floor that high. I even considered 5 inches. I'm going to make the floor flush from stern to bow, so up at the bow the extra height is going to help out some.
Out fishing this past weekend with 3 guys, 50gal gas, 25gal bait tank under leaning post, gear and some good size swell with left over wind chop it really would not of mattered how high the floor was. I am thinking of putting a plug hole in the floor at the stern to drain what water that cant get out into the bilge then I can just pump it out. I guess I will make some sort of half inch or so drop down for the water to collect in.
